This refined older lady is [Aunt] Bea (for those of you old enough to remember Andy Griffith). She is approximately 10 years old, and still a beauty. Bea was surrendered to Helping Paws after her owner died. At 10 years Bea still has plenty of life left and lots of love to give. She gets unknown. Her adoption fee would be waived for a Senior to Senior adoption.

What a beauty! This gorgeous girl is Cassie - she's a long-haired calico. Cassie was brought into a Vet's office - she is very skittish, but much better now than when she first came in. Cassie is loving hand from her people to bring her out of her shell. 06/07 - Cassie is still a work in progress - we can touch her - but just a quickie - but that's a huge improvement as we didn't used to see her as she would hide when you walked into the cat rooms.

This is Charlie. Charlie is an 11 month old (October 2007) female. She is all dark gray - like a Russian Blue. A little scared, but in a nice quiet home, she would do fine; likes petting.

This is Daniel . He is a six month old neutered tiger cat. He is VERY affectionate and LOVES to "talk"! Daniel is a tall boy who is lean with an extra long tail. He is good with other cats and dogs; AND, he loves kids!

Meet Enzio. Enzio is a young adult neutered male. He is a very sweet boy, but does have an eye disease and will require medication, probably for the rest of his life, which Helping Paws will provide.

This is Punch. He is a two (2) year old neutered white male. We call him Punch because he has a perfectly punched out circle in his ear. This is the symbol of a feral cat that was trapped, neutered and released. Punch was brought to the Rescue as a stray - but he is anything but feral!! Punch is very lovable and as you can see he wants to be a lap cat. If there is no lap available, he is just as happy to sit on the couch and watch TV. He loves kids and cats but is fearful of dogs.

This is Fluffy. Fluffy is still kind of scared of people, but she is coming around more and more every day. A really pretty long-haired tuxedo.

This is George. He is a young adult neutered male. George has some trouble walking and OK, except for slippery floors. George is a real sweety who LOVES petting. He's not so very fond of being picked up, but would probably make a GREAT lap cat! And how can you resist that adorable face?

This is Kevin. Kevin is thought to be around 4 years old. May be a little Bengal in this boy, beautiful markings and a big boy, He was a stray who was lucky enough to be taken in by a good samaritan, who then contacted Helping Paws. Kevin is a big boy - who is scared right now as he has just come to the rescue. He seems to love people though, not sure yet how he'll be with other cats or dogs.

This is Lambchop. She came to the rescue because the family was moving. Lambchop is about 1 year old and friendly, although a little skittish. |
Ollie is a young neutered male. He was a stray who was not very friendly at first, but he is coming around. He still only likes to be petted and really does not like to be picked up. With time and patience he could learn to love your lap.
Oscar is a 5 year old neutered male. He has become a very friendly boy - for the longest time we didn't see him, but he is out now and socializing and ready to make new friends in a new forever home.

This is Poppie, another of our little mommy kitties from the 2007 season. As usual, kittens have all been adopted and mommy is still waiting for her special family. She generally likes people, but is somewhat timid about being petted on the head. Poppie gets along well with other cats, dogs unknown.
Ralph is an adult neutered male. He is very vocal (especially when he is wanting some canned food) and loves to be petted, but not very fond of being picked up. Ralph is good Ralph HATES going to adoption clinic - so if us and we will arrange to bring him (but, remember, he will not act his charming self) or you can meet at our main foster home.

This older gentleman is Rip (for Rip Van Winkle). He was found under a porch and near death. He fought (and so did we) for his survival and is now the handsome fellow you see here today. Rip is quiet - he would be a great cat for a senior and his adoption fee would be waived. This guy deserves to live the rest of his life in a loving home.

This is Sweet Pea. Kind of a "girly" name for this big boy. Sweet Pea was surrendered to Helping Paws when his owner died. He is the slightest bit skittish at first, but very sweet and comes close for nice head rubs as soon as you start to pet him. Sweet Pea is a neutered male, about 2 years old and a BIG BOY!
Vanna....White is a young spayed female who came in with her two kittens. Both the kittens became friendly and Vanna, after several months, is finally coming along. We can now pet her and she does not run away, she will duck her head, but seems to enjoy our touch. She will scoot away if you come at her too quickly. |

This is Molly. She is a 5 year old spayed had to go to a nursing home and the family could not keep her. She is a little shy of other cats and kids since she is from a senior home. She is gradually warming up! |
This is Mylie. She is a 1 year old spayed calico cat. She came to the Rescue as a stray. She is extremely friendly and very much a lap cat. Mylie likes other cats and kids. She is afraid of dogs. |
Meet Jewels. He is a 1 year old neutered orange tiger cat. Jewels came to us as a stray. He is very playful and enjoys being the boss of the cat room! Jewels is very talkative and will have a conversation with or without an audience. He is good with other cats, kids and dogs.
